ABOUT KONG FIT CLUB

Once a pop-up club that explored the best fitness in LA VIA 90+ (FREE!) EVENTS, Kong Fit Club’s brick and mortar Clubhouse hosts small group fitness and dance classes every Saturday and Sunday, right in the heart of the DTLA ARTS DISTRICT.

WE BELIEVE IN VARIETY, CONSISTENCY AND COMMUNITY SO OUR CLASS AND SPECIAL EVENT SCHEDULE REFLECTS THIS. EACH AND EVERY MONTH WE ROTATE TRAINERS AND MODALITIES TO KEEP YOUR MIND AND BODY ON ITS TOES.

kong fit clubhouse features a rotating monthly schedule. Each month we announce the month’s offerings which always varies slightly to keep your mind and body on their toes.

while our classes are mainly on the weekends, we do have select weekday evening classes and special events. Download the kong fit club app or follow @kongfitclub so you never miss out.

  • Beginner level dance choreography, advanced level hype. Before learning the week's routine, this 60 min class begins with a quick warm up to stretch and shake it out. We then break down the choreography move by move, beginning to end to help you improve your rhythm, coordination and have some fun. Learn a routine and get your cardio in to a beat! No dance experience required… YES you can dance.

  • This low impact circuit style strength class will help you build power and control while reshaping your body overtime. Get ready to lift, thrust, curl, press and pull your way to full body fatigue utilizing dumbbells, kettlebells, resistance bands and body weight. All levels welcome

  • This open level, uptempo Pilates mat class will help you build long lean muscles and a rock hard core. In this 45 min class we will incorporate the Pilates ring, resistance bands and sliders to move and strengthen your entire body. Modifications can be given if needed.

  • Train like a boxer in Boxing Bootcamp! Much like our ever popular Box & Lift class, Boxing Bootcamp begins with a shadow boxing and kickboxing warm up. You’ll challenge your cardio and brain with various combinations by yourself and each other. We then break into 35 minutes of a bootcamp style conditioning circuit. Expect to count your reps as you rotate around the room challenging your body with dumbbells, plyo boxes, TRX, kettlebells, sliders, bands and sleds.

    No equipment required, but if you have gloves or wraps, bring them!

  • Find your strength. Embrace the burn and increase your overall strength in this muscle-building, fat-burning signature workout by Loui Pacheco. His dynamic flows will challenge your entire body for a sweaty, mind wrenching workout that’ll make you feel unstoppable and ready to take on the world. Be prepared to target every major muscle group utilizing weights and bodyweight in this 1 hour rhythm based class.

  • Box & Lift blends kickboxing and strength training into a 60minute jam packed workshop style class. We have your cardio covered via kickboxing and boxing combinations on your own and with each other. We break up the hour with a muscle carving dumbbell strength circuit, then end the class back in the ring. No gloves or boxing experience required. Workout varies each and every time.

    If you own wraps or gloves, bring them!

  • A simple yet powerful flow to build heat, strength and flexibility. This 60 minute flow will leave you feeling both centered and empowered both mentally and physically. All Levels.

  • Superset Strength is a 45min strength class that utilizes a series of supersets to lift, thrust, curl, press and pull your way to full body fatigue. Supersets involve performing a set of two different exercises back-to-back with minimal rest allowing us to feel the burn fast.

  • This strength based class will challenge the core and tighten the tush. Utilize your body weight, dumbbells, kettle bells and resistance bands to pull, press and push your way to head to toe sweat.

  • Show some love to your body with a mobility stretch flow and head to toe foam roll. All levels welcome.

  • HIIT Strong by Brandon Hament combines Mental Fitness and Physical Strength in an action packed high intensity interval class that will leave you feeling empowered and whole. With a little spirituality sprinkled in with the sweat, Brandon takes your HIIT experience to the next level.

MEET THE FOUNDER

MEAGAN KONG

Meagan Kong is a professional dancer, choreographer, fitness enthusiast, and the creator of Kong Fit Club (KFC). Minneapolis born, Meagan calls Los Angeles home. Over the last 15 years, Meagan has navigated her way through the world of film, television and music both on and off camera. She has shared the stage with your favorite pop stars and graced the silver screen on your favorite tv shows and most iconic commercials. She’s coached top celebrity talent to move with confidence and ease and is on a mission to help each and every individual do the same.

Meagan spent years “getting her body ready” for these jobs and auditions with yo-yo diets and exercise challenges. Sick of the up and down she built a realistic way of living consistently “fit” both inside and out and shares this everyday approach with her digital audience. In 2018, Meagan launched Kong Fit Club in hopes of bridging the community that she had built online into an in-person experience. Within the first year of business, Meagan produced over 80 events for KFC and garnered support from high profile companies including Adidas, ONE Brands, Burt's Bees, to name a few. In 2020, Meagan and KFC decided to put their roots down with their own brick and mortar. Kong Fit Clubhouse, located in the heart of Hollywood, offers small group classes including her signature all levels dance class. Week in and week out, Meagan and her community demonstrate that variety, community and consistency are the key to discovering your best (and ever evolving) self.
